Southern Geoscience Consultants would like to congratulate Western Areas Ltd (ASX: WSD) on their exciting new exploration results at the Sahara Prospect, West Gawler SA with the first diamond drill hole intersecting a very broad zone of nickel and copper bearing sulphides. 20WGDD005 has intersected nickel-copper sulphides over an interval of >200m (down-hole length) hosted by a thick pyroxenite intrusive body.
20WGDD005 was designed to test a moderate strength ~800-1100S MLTEM conductor and coincident magnetic high. DHTEM contractors have been mobilised to site, with a survey planned for this drill hole towards the end of this week. Results/vectors from the DHTEM survey will assist in optimising further hole locations to test for extensions of mineralisation along strike to the north and south.
