Yvonne completed a BSc (Hons) in Geophysical Sciences at Leeds University in 2000, and an MSc in Exploration Geophysics at the University of Durham graduating in 2001.

In 2003, she started work for Placer Dome as a geophysicist at the Granny Smith Mine, exploring for gold in the Laverton and Kalgoorlie Greenstone Belts, primarily using potential field methods. During this time she also completed a magnetic modelling study of the Musselwhite Mine BIF-hosted gold deposit in Ontario, Canada, and participated in exploration for offshore sulphide deposits using sonar imaging in Papua New Guinea.

In 2006, Yvonne commenced work with Barrick Gold, working on greenstone-hosted Au, VMS, porphyry Cu-Au and IOCG-related deposits in brownfield and greenfield settings in Australia, Papua New Guinea, South America, the Middle East and Central Asia. Her skills base expanded to include electrical and electromagnetic methods, and interpretation, synthesis and targeting with multiple layers of geoscience data.

Yvonne joined SGC in 2013 where she works with multiple projects throughout Australia and overseas, with a strong focus on integrated interpretation to further exploration projects. She is a member of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics.
