Timothy Hill
Project Geophysicist
Tim completed a BSc (Hons) in Geophysics at Curtin University in 2019 and is currently studying geology at Curtin University.
From 2016 to 2022 he worked for HiSeis in a number of roles including field services where he spent a year as Field Geophysicist. During this time he specialised in early-stage land seismic processing with a focus on near-surface processing methods. Following this Tim moved into offshore geotechnical roles firstly with Fugro, then later with the Ireland-based company XOcean, where he worked with various geophysical methods such as single-channel seismic, refraction seismic, side scan sonar, magnetometer and bathymetry.
Joining SGC in 2026 as a Project Geophysicist, Tim brings with him a strong technical and processing background. He is also an active member of the broader community and serves as Secretary for the Western Australian branch of ASEG as well as Membership Chair for the ASEG Federal Executive Committee.
