Stewart Jackson

Geophysicist - Development

Stewart graduated in 2018 from the University of Tasmania BSc. Hons (Geophysics) from UTAS where he was awarded the W.D. Parkinson prize for proficiency in Honours Geophysics.

He proceeded to work as a Research Assistant specialising in computational seismology at IMS, working with multiple seismology techniques encompassing both active and passive techniques, including Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT), Multi-Channel Analysis of Seismic Waves (MASW) and Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) from the survey planning to delivery stages. He then joined Orica Digital Solutions in 2022 as a Geophysicist to provide field support, data science solutions and automation of data processing to their downhole geophysics services, providing clients data from multiple downhole techniques including Borehole Magnetic Resonance (BMR) and Density logging.

Stewart commenced work with SGC in 2024 as a Geophysicist. With a strong background in programming, machine learning, and mathematics, he is highly motivated to apply his expertise to cutting-edge projects in geophysics. His comprehensive skill set allows him to effectively tackle complex geophysical challenges, making him an asset to our team.
