Patrick graduated from the University of Otago at the end of 2018, after 4 years of a BSc(Hons) in Geology followed by a masters in Geophysics. Following this, he moved to Australia to work as an exploration geologist between 2018 and 2020. During his time as an exploration geologist, he worked for a variety of exploration companies in WA including Focus Minerals and Vale.

He joined SGC as a geophysicist in December 2020, and has been gaining experience in data processing, quality control, modelling and interpretation of numerous airborne, ground, and downhole datasets.

Patrick was promoted to Senior Geophysicist in 2024.
