Anne Tomlinson
Managing Director
Anne Tomlinson has over 18 years experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry. After graduating with an MSc in Applied Geophysics and Economic Geology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, she spent her early graduate years working in near-mine gold exploration and underground mining in Queensland and Western Australia before joining Southern Geoscience as a Geophysicist.
Anne has consulted on all aspects of geophysical exploration for gold, base metals, iron ore, REEs, potash, and uranium in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Southeast Asia, and Africa, with a specialty in potential field methods including litho-structural interpretation and prospectivity analysis. She has been part of SGC’s interpretation group delivering workshops on the integrated interpretation of aeromagnetic data in Australia and internationally.
Anne joined the SGC Board in 2019 and was appointed Managing Director in 2021.
Anne is passionate about the geoscience and resources industry and has been actively involved in professional bodies throughout her career. She has held state and federal positions with the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics (ASEG) and Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG). She has been a mentor with the AIG Mentoring Program and does geoscience outreach to primary and secondary students with the CSIRO’s Scientists in Schools program.
