PACE Gawler Craton Airborne Magnetic Data Compilation
Airborne magnetic, radiometric and DEM data, over the Eastern Gawler Craton Olympic Dam Domain were acquired as part of the PACE initiative in South Australia. These data are now available as a merged and imaged product from Southern Geoscience Consultants (SGC).
The Gawler Craton hosts a diverse range of deposit styles including the Olympic Dam Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) and Uranium deposit as well as several major copper mines such as Prominent Hill, Carrapateena, Cairn Hill, Peculiar Knob, Mount Gunson, Hillside and Kanmantoo. The recent discovery of the Oak Dam West copper discovery by BHP in 2018, 65km southeast of Olympic Dam, has further highlighted the prospectivity of the area.
Other mineralisation styles include iron ore (BIF and skarns), intrusion-related, shear-hosted and orogenic gold as well as volcanogenic and epithermal style lead and zinc prospects.
SGC have merged PACE survey blocks 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 7, 8B, 9B and 10 and produced a range of enhanced images, which can be subset to any area of interest. SGC can assist you with a range of services including physical property testing, survey planning, data processing and interpretation.
