Southern Geoscience Consultants continue to assist Helix Resources Limited (ASX: HLX) with their ongoing systematic exploration efforts at the Canbelego Project, Cobar NSW. Recent Downhole Electromagnetic (DHTEM) surveying (CANDD015) has identified a large off-hole conductive copper target.
Deep parent holes, CANDD015 and CANDD016 were designed to definitively test the down-plunge continuity of high-grade copper shoots identified by drilling over the past year. These have also created highly successful DHTEM platforms, achieving fresh ground coverage and identifying new, large, high-integrity conductive targets.
Refined DHTEM modelling has delineated a large, moderate to strong (500S to 1000S), broad, off hole conductor above and north of CANDD015. Modelling of mid- and late-channels has resolved multiple conductor plates in an elongate zone plunging to the north with a maximum dimension of ~400m by 70m. These extensive conductors extend towards the second parent hole, CANDD016, which is currently in progress at a depth of 630m and is located 150m north of CANDD015.
SGC Consultant Geophysicist Russell Mortimer continues to manage the ongoing DHTEM/geophysical survey efforts.
