Earlier this year, SGC conducted detailed petrophysical testing on drill core, confirming that pyrrhotite-associated gold mineralisation is strongly conductiveโan ideal target for downhole EM methods. Based on these results, trial DHEM surveys were completed, de-risking the exploration strategy and validating deeper drill targeting. This latest campaign has now modelled and tested these conductive anomalies with great success.
โก๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐ปโ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ. Conductive gold mineralisation tied to pyrrhotite is a known feature in WA deposits like Bellevue, Penny West, Tuckanarra, and Vivien. At Bellevue, SGCโs systematic DHEM programs helped reveal extensions to mineralisation and discovered the Deacon lode. This sulfide-gold association extends well beyond the Yilgarn Craton, with similar signatures recognised across Archean terrains globally, including Canadaโs Superior Craton.
