Southern Geoscience Consultants are pleased to report that Helix Resources Limited (ASX: HLX) have intersected significant copper sulphide mineralisation at the Canbelego Project, Cobar NSW. Drill testing of a strong/extensive DHTEM target has returned visible copper sulphide mineralisation in drill core over 14m in CANDD016C from 594m. Whilst assays are pending, this mineralisation occurs in the Canbelego Main Lode position and is potentially continuous with significant copper intercepts ~200m higher in the mineralised shear.
The DHTEM surveys from both parent holes (CANDD015 & CANDD016) each generated highly conductive geophysical targets interpreted as high-grade copper shoots. Following several attempts in challenging conditions for directional drilling, daughter-hole CANDD016C was completed after successfully testing the central portion of the EM target scenarios. DHTEM modelling for surveys completed on these recent holes CANDD015A and CANDD016C is currently underway to further resolve the conductive plates and guide further deep drill testing.
SGC Consultant Geophysicist Russell Mortimer continues to manage the ongoing DHTEM/geophysical survey efforts.
