We are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Geophysicist to support our business growth and join our team based in West Perth, Western Australia. You will be responsible for:
- Design and supervision of geophysical surveys
- QC of geophysical survey data
- Geophysical data processing and imaging
- Geophysical data modelling and interpretation
- Liaising with clients
- Report writing
You will also be expected to:
- Provide technical guidance and support to SGC and client teams where possible
- Build your technical knowledge and keep up to date with new techniques/methods and share knowledge with other geophysicists
- Represent SGC at industry meetings, conferences, and events and actively network with industry personnel and promote SGC services and products
- Build and maintain good working relationships with others
You must have the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, with a major in Geophysics and/or Geology
- Minimum five years technical experience in exploration geophysics
- Experience with geophysical processing and modelling software
- Experience with electromagnetic, induced polarisation, and/or potential field data
- Good GIS skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience in writing technical reports
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise work
- Detail-oriented and resourceful
- Self-motivated to develop professional skills
