SGC are hiring Senior / Principal Geophysicists

We are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Geophysicist to support our business growth and join our team based in West Perth, Western Australia. You will be responsible for:

  • Design and supervision of geophysical surveys
  • QC of geophysical survey data
  • Geophysical data processing and imaging
  • Geophysical data modelling and interpretation
  • Liaising with clients
  • Report writing

You will also be expected to:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to SGC and client teams where possible
  • Build your technical knowledge and keep up to date with new techniques/methods and share knowledge with other geophysicists
  • Represent SGC at industry meetings, conferences, and events and actively network with industry personnel and promote SGC services and products
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with others

You must have the following:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, with a major in Geophysics and/or Geology
  • Minimum five years technical experience in exploration geophysics
  • Experience with geophysical processing and modelling software
  • Experience with electromagnetic, induced polarisation, and/or potential field data 
  • Good GIS skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in writing technical reports
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful
  • Self-motivated to develop professional skills
