Southern Geoscience Consultants are excited to be assisting Aldoro Resources Limited (ASX:ARN) with upcoming airborne EM efforts at their Narndee Project. The Narndee-Windimurra Complex is the largest layered mafic-ultramafic complex in Australia and Aldoro holds 100% of the basal ultramafic portion of the complex.
Historical exploration by major companies such as Inco, BHP and Falconbridge focussed on PGE reef type deposits following a Bushveld-model, however Aldoro will apply modern exploration techniques and be looking for constrained magma conduit environments that host major Ni-Cu-PGE deposits. Numerous gossans with up to 10.5m at 1.50% Ni from surface, as well as shallow sulphide intersections up to 0.70% Ni; 0.84% Cu; 0.21g/t Pt and 5.16g/t Pd have been encountered in earlier, limited exploration efforts.
Modern airborne EM surveys have played an instrumental role in recent nickel sulphide discoveries.
SGC Consultant Geophysicist Russell Mortimer is managing the upcoming VTEM survey/future geophysical efforts.
